Why isn't the game displaying/working properly?
Solution Our site will not function correctly via AOL's built-in browser or with Internet Explorer 7 which has an exploit that causes java to crash. We use java to power some features on our site. You can try holding down the control key (ctrl) and hitting F5 on your keyboard to force a refresh of your cache.

Our site is best displayed using Firefox http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/

Please make sure you are using the newest version of your browser software.

To learn how to clear your cache - visit this site and look for your browser - (the browser is what you use to see this site or any other, such as Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari, etc.)

To learn how to delete your cookies - visit this site and look for your brower - (the browser is what you use to see this site or any other, such as Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari, etc.)

More often than not, clearing your cache will allow you to access our site. This is an absolutely necessary step which far too many users skip because they believe it will cause them an inconvenience. We will not be able to assist you with diagnosing the issue until you clear your cache. If you have a bad cached version of our site, nothing else we instruct you to do will fix the issue and it is a waste of both your time and ours.

If after clearing the cache you are still unable to access our site, the next step is to try pinging our sites to see if you are even getting a response.

In Windows, click "Start" at the bottom left of your screen. Click "Run" and type in "command" (no quotes). Hit "ok." This will bring you to a command prompt. Once there, type in one of the following depending on which site you cannot access - do NOT include the " " quotation marks:

"ping mafiabattle.net"

"ping 1955.mafiabattle.net"

"ping piratequest.net"

"ping vilecity.com"

Note the response you get and copy it down. Submit a support ticket and outline your problem. Include the results you got from the ping. We will then attempt to assit you further.
